Care that affirms and empowers families
I support families in building resiliency and regulation by gaining a better understanding of how an individual uniquely takes in and processes information from the world around them. There is no right or wrong way to communicate, learn, or parent - let’s partner together to find what works best for your family.
-
Discuss and investigate caregivers’ concerns to provide guidance on whether behaviors are within the range of developmental expectations, and which services, if any, would be beneficial to pursue. Parents can expect to walk away with suggestions for activities and monitoring, or recommendations for resources/services to explore. If the child is in a preschool or daycare program, school observations and recommendations are included as part of the screening process. This type of assessment does not provide a diagnosis.
-
Through collaborative partnerships with professionals from the Village Therapy Collective, I am able to provide a unique and highly collaborative comprehensive evaluation completed simultaneously by a psychologist, speech language pathologist and/or occupational therapist. This holistic assessment is designed to eliminate the need for multiple evaluations and instead include our team’s diverse lenses, fully integrated into a single streamlined evaluation process. We have thoughtfully designed this process to maximize collaboration among professionals and reduce the burden on families of managing multiple appointments and competing recommendations. Upon completion of the evaluation, all participating assessors will meet with your family to discuss the synthesized outcomes of the assessment process and how the various areas of development that each provider looks at interrelate to one another. In addition to a holistic report, families will receive organized, prioritized recommendations that span professional disciplines.

Through my comprehensive assessment process, I assess a child’s or teen’s cognitive, neurocognitive, academic, emotional, social, and regulatory functioning to uncover both their gifts and areas to support. I value the expertise and input from all important caregivers in a child’s life, including parents/guardians, teachers, and childcare providers. My assessment process consists of gathering information across multiple environments (e.g., home, school, clinic) to develop a comprehensive profile of a child’s strengths and vulnerabilities. Let’s discover together how your child’s neurocognitive profile impacts their relationships with family members, friends, learning, and themselves.
(Encompasses Neuropsychological, Psychological, or Psycho-Educational Evaluations)
-
Individual therapy sessions to support your child’s emotional regulation, self-concept, and relationships. Goals and approaches are individualized based on personality, learning style, and referral concerns.
-
There is so much information available now that our own parenting instincts can get lost in all of the noise. It can be difficult to tailor recommendations for your specific situation, leaving many to feel like they have tried everything and nothing seems to work. These sessions are meant to empower parents to find an approach that feels aligned with their values, inner voice, and their child’s unique profile.
